HEAT TREATMENT
Quenching: 870±10℃, followed by oil cooling to improve hardness and strength.
Tempering: 480℃±10℃, reduce quenching stress and improve toughness.
Isothermal quenching: After quenching at 870℃, oil cooling, and then immediately put into a 250℃ nitrate bath for 20 minutes to improve bending strength and toughness.
Critical point temperature:
Ac1=755℃
Ac3=810℃
Ar3=770℃
Ar1=700℃
Ms=305℃
FORGING
Forging purpose: When 60Si2MnA is used as the main part of the die, it must be forged first to avoid longitudinal cracking.
Post-forging treatment: In order to eliminate forging stress and make the internal carbides uniform, spheroidizing annealing is required, which helps to increase the service life of the die steel.
Hot working specifications: initial forging temperature 1100℃, final forging temperature 850℃.
